Founded by Danusia Samal, Mixed Other Arts is a multi-disciplinary arts company working in theatre and screen. It focuses on amplifying diverse voices and supporting artists from under-represented backgrounds. Whilst the company’s projects often focus on vital themes such as the climate crisis, identity, multiculturalism, and migration, its priority is collaborating with creatives from a variety of backgrounds to make brilliant work.
Recent projects include Bangers, a garage musical staged in collaboration with Cardboard Citizens and Paines Plough at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Bangers received multiple 5 star reviews and was listed in Best of the Fringe picks. Mixed Other Arts has also collaborated with Climate Spring on their Hot House Shorts project, providing support for filmmakers to make impactful and original climate stories for mainstream audiences.
