Working on a new jazz CD and my own material, so watch this space!
I will also be working with director James Yeatman through July, devising a piece on illness examining in the East End and how the hospital brings a disparate community into one space. ‘Still Ill’ will play at the Shuffle Festival in August.
Finally very excited to be beginning rehearsals for ‘The House That Will Not Stand’ by this September. The show runs Oct – Nov at the Tricycle theatre and is directed by artistic director Indhu Rubasingham. More info:
Excited to be starting rehearsals shortly for ‘Circles’ by Rachel De-Lahay, dir. by Tessa Walker. The show will be run at the Birmingham Rep Theatre, then transfer to the Tricycle in London, before embarking on a West Midlands Tour.
“Circling the outskirts of Birmingham on the Number 11 bus, two teenagers develop an unlikely friendship. Meanwhile a mother observes her daughters attempt to leave a violent relationship. Against the backdrop of a changing city everyone involved is forced to re-examine all they thought they knew about love, trust, family and friendship.
Rachel’s Delahay’s vivid and powerful new play boldly explores cycles of violence and what it takes to break them and is a visceral examination of the effects of such violence on a generation of young women.”

February has been filled with jazz as new collaborations are set up and plans form for a CD to be recorded in June. I’ve busking all over London, have met all kinds of people, and have been interviewed, photographed, and performed on the radio. Here’s a couple of snippets of what I’ve been up to (click on the links!)
Shared Spaces – Click here for Fiona Essex’s shared space project, exploring spaces that are important to us. Naturally, I took her to my favourite busking spot!

I had the amazing opportunity to perform at Julian Barrett’s sell-out ‘John Breeze’ show at the Soho Theatre, as well as the (soon to return) ‘Night of Stuff’
at Shoreditch Town Hall.
I am currently filming new web-series ‘Boyle & Pyle’, and am set to return to the ‘Shanghai Blues’ in March. Please see dates here.
